Fishing & boat launch
Permit
Cape Vidal has a designated launch site, so it is a favourite with boat-based anglers heading out for game fish, with the deep water not far offshore. From the shore there is good rock and surf angling, and salt-water fly-fishing has a keen following here too.
A valid recreational fishing permit is required, and marine protected area rules apply, so check the current regulations and bag limits before you cast.
