Zebra
Zebra are among the animals you are most likely to meet on the open grass of the Eastern Shores, and they give Cape Vidal one of its finest lines: you can be in the sea before breakfast and watching zebra on a loop road by mid-morning.
When and where to see them
Look for them on the open grassland from the self-drive game loops, with the 17-kilometre Grassland Loop the classic outing. Early morning and late afternoon are the golden hours. Guided horse safaris also ride through the southern grasslands among zebra and wildebeest.
